Poem: Send Me An Angel

Father, draw me a picture of what I am
Or even a path for me to follow.
Show me I'm worth breathing
And my heart is filled and not hollow.
Convince me that I deserve to live
That sooner or later I'll make you proud
Because right now I can't stand breathing
Or walking under your clouds.
I'm tired of being invisible to the world.


Screaming in hope of being heard.
Just for someone to glance at me
To notice me and speak at least one word.

Help me see the real me.
Let me be the man I imagine myself to be.
Help my dreams become reality,
Show me the world my eyes have never seen.
Or at least send me an angel,
To keep me company while I'm alone.
Let her heart tear down these walls
And her arms be my new home.
Please, I don't want to die alone
Or leave this world without a trace.
I want someone to remember my name,
To remember I once roamed this place.
God, don't let my fear become real.
An angel is all I really need.
To fill this soul with hope
And to save me when my wrists bleed.
She will make the pain worth feeling
Just to show me I'm alive.
To view the world with different eyes
And to see the beauty of life.
Grant me this wish
And I will cherish her forever.
I'll shower her with love
Telling her everyday I love her.
