A mother weeping.
A brother and two sisters still in shock.
A father eager to leave the scene
Counting down the seconds, tick-tock.
No friends around.
Not a single rose left in his grave.
A tombstone left in blank
Because no one remembered his name.
It was finally over.
Death has caught up to him at last.
I take a look inside the coffin.
It's me, a horrified gasp.
This can't be true,
Tell me it's all a dream.
My tears are rolling down my cheek
And I let out a terrified scream.
My God, how did this happen?
I thought I had more time.
I swear I woke up this morning,
Everything seemed fine.
When did I die?
How long have I been dead?
"You've been dead your whole life."
A voice from the sky gently said.
"I tried to save you
But you pushed me aside.
Now that I have you beside me
Your fate is mine to decide."
Should I beg for forgiveness?
Beg Him for one last chance?
Another look inside the coffin.
My entire life seen in a single glance.
Every dream shattered.
Every drop of blood lost in vain.
I'll do anything to live again
Even if I must live in pain.
"I'm not ready to die.
Please don't give up on me."
I begged and I pleaded,
I even got down on my knees.
"Son, Son wake up!"
A different voice I hear.
"Wake up! It's me your mother."
From my eyes, sheds a tear.
"Are you okay?
You were screaming in your sleep."
"Mom I died.
But my soul I got to keep."
Holy Crap! That is awesome! Do you mind if I steal the idea? Because that is one of the epicest poems I've ever read!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry but I actually do mind. My poems are really valuable to me.
ReplyDeleteIt's okay I understand. I won't steal the idea.
